How to choose a rolling LED display

Quick answer

A rolling LED display gives a meeting room or showroom a full-size LED screen that rolls up into the ceiling when it is not needed. Choose the pitch from the nearest viewing distance, confirm the ceiling has room for the roller and a clear rolling path, then size the screen and controller from your room drawings.

1. Is a rolling LED display right for your room?

It suits rooms that need a large screen only part of the time: executive boardrooms, conference and government rooms, hotel and multi-purpose halls, showrooms and exhibitions. When the meeting ends the screen disappears and the room looks clean again, with no screen and no floor cabinets.

2. Pixel pitch from viewing distance

Choose the pitch from the nearest viewing distance: the closer people sit, the finer the pitch. All four models use the same 500 × 62.5 mm modules, 3,840 Hz refresh and the same rolling mechanism.

3. Ceiling and structure

  • Check the ceiling and structure before production: the roller and motor sit above the finished ceiling.
  • Confirm the storage position, service access and a clear rolling path down to the screen's lowest point.
  • Plan power and signal routing together with your AV integrator.

4. Screen size and controller

The screen is built from 500 × 62.5 mm modules, so the width goes up in steps of 0.5 m and the height in steps of 62.5 mm. Standard 16:9 sizes are 110", 135" and 165"; any other size is made for your room. Final dimensions are confirmed from the room drawings, and the controller capacity is selected from the final screen resolution. Try the LED screen calculator for a first layout.

5. How it is built

Slim horizontal LED modules form one continuous flexible surface. The screen stays aligned as it travels into the compact roller above the ceiling, without conventional floor cabinets.

FAQ

Rolling LED questions

Where does the screen go when it is rolled up?

Into a compact roller housing above the finished ceiling. Only a narrow architectural slot stays visible when the screen is stored.

Can the size be customised?

Yes. Width and height are made for each project from the room drawings, and the controller is chosen from the final screen resolution.

What do you need from us to quote?

Room photos or drawings, the target screen width and height, the nearest and farthest viewing distance, ceiling height and storage space above it, the light in the room, the video sources, and the destination country and power standard.
